Pilar McConnell
I was born in New Westminster, but moved to northern B.C. by my 2nd birthday. We lived in small-town Atlin until I was 10. Life in the north was difficult, as we lived 6 miles out of town on a mountain. Without electricity and running water, we had to be creative in order to make everyday life a little easier.
However, it was an experience I will never forget, and one that helped instill in me a strong work ethic. My teen years were spent in the Interior of B.C., after which I moved to Surrey to begin a career. I started at my first law firm as a receptionist at age 18, and have been enjoying this path in my life since. I have worked at many large law firms in Vancouver as a Legal Assistant, but now make my home in Chilliwack.
I am married with two (now adult) step-sons. When not working, I can be found cooking, reading, or painting. Our usual vacations include an annual trip to Guatemala to visit family and friends, and time on our boat in Bamfield, B.C. As we are lovers of the ocean, we can never be too far from the salty air.
